Unless you are perfect in all things, to be successful in one’s career and as well in life, committing to self-assessment is essential.  Assessment for me is:

  • Self-Knowledge (knowing your personal and professional self);
  • Setting Priorities (understanding your priorities and those of others you decide to work with and for);
  • Networking (keep small your network of those you trust). Increase your network to those who can assist and grow you.
  • Continuous Improvement (strive for continuous improvement). Through doing and giving back (internships, seminars, mentorships, and volunteering), you will get back, tenfold!
  • Multi-Directional (look at all directions – not just up). Embrace going sideways as a learning detour.

Self-Assessment is designed to provide you with a thorough evaluation, in-depth look and understanding of yourself.  It will assist you in framing and selling powerfully what you can do and what you want to do.  Through such thorough understanding you will be prepared to make important decisions about your present career and your future world of work/life direction.
